About the role
We are searching for a Regional Maintenance Technician to actively drive improved technical capability, asset performance, repair and maintenance planning, training, and execution to support safe and efficient Operations. This role will serve as a bridge to ensure new NewCold facilities have the appropriate support to begin Operations as well as providing hands-on existing Site support to ensure maintenance requirements are met and continuous improvement efforts are ongoing.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates commitment to regional success by engaging new and existing Site Maintenance teams to align support for Operation and Maintenance Excellence according to strategy.
- Partners with Site Leadership to ensure Site Maintenance is developed and maintained according to ongoing Repairs and PM schedules, creates stop-gap processes to correct any deficiencies, and ensures adherence to all standard work processes. Provides feedback and supporting documentation to update Site Managers on KPIs.
- Participates in the implementation of shared maintenance best practices and lessons learned related to equipment and technical ownership, maintenance standards, and technical training of technicians as needed.
- Works effectively with Regional Teams to develop the capability of technical teams through training, coaching, implementing, and assessing the Maintenance Process to deliver world-class Maintenance Excellence standards in Maintenance and Material Handling Equipment.
- Partners with QESH leadership to ensure NewCold procedures, policies, and safety rules are in place and being adhered to.
- Demonstrates the Technical/Engineering expertise to work with the sites to resolve reliability and equipment performance issues through active onsite support and mentoring.
- Makes decisions based on feasibility studies and costing analysis from Ultimo data, identify trends, solve problems, and make or initiate recommendations for improvements.
- Explore and use Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), PM Optimization, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology.
- Work across sites to analyze and prioritize opportunities.
- Travel will fluctuate, currently 50%-70%.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or automated warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Solid mechanical expertise in crane systems, including inspection, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience with TGW, MIAS, Danbach, or similar automation systems preferred.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and training maintenance technicians to support team performance and development.
- Ability to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize work, and support equipment reliability.
- Commitment to safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
