Regional Maintenance Manager

About the role

As a Maintenance Shop Supervisor at Clayton, you will manage a team of shop workers, troubleshoot and diagnose truck repair issues, and ensure all assigned tasks are completed within the department's timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Answering questions and providing guidance to shop team members
• Timecard approval and PTO management
• Performance management of shop team members
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing complaints in a commercial truck repair environment
• Repairing and installing truck/engine equipment
• Completing jobs assigned within the departmental established time frame
• Reporting any problems and/or concerns within the service environment to the Regional Terminal Manager
• Aiding with inspections on equipment and in the work area
• Controlling parts/inventory, serving as the main point of contact for drivers regarding maintenance issues, and scheduling all shop jobs
• Attending training classes as required
• Reading and studying shop/service materials and manuals relevant to your job
• Performing all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior supervision/management experience required
• A minimum of five years' experience in heavy duty truck/engine repairs and installation is required
• A high school diploma or GED is required
• Additional training and certifications in heavy duty truck repairs preferred
• A valid driver’s license is required
• A CDL and DOT medical card is mandatory if vehicle is to be driven off premises
