Job Title: RMT I Fuel Trainer Position Summary The RMT I Fuel Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for field technicians supporting fuel systems and forecourt equipment. This role ensures technicians are proficient in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance of fuel dispensing systems, tank monitoring, and POS integration within retail fueling environments. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in retail fuel systems and forecourt equipmentCertifications in:Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR) and or Wayne Fueling DispensersVeeder-Root tank monitoring systemsAt least one POS platform (Verifone or Passport)State-specific fuel system certifications as required Technical Knowledge & Expertise The Trainer Must Demonstrate Strong Working Knowledge In Fuel Dispensing & Forecourt SystemsGilbarco dispensers and related hardware/softwareWayne Fueling DispensersIncon tank monitoring systemsVeeder-Root ATG (Automatic Tank Gauge) systemsPoint of Sale (POS) SystemsVerifone POS systemsPassport POS systemsIntegration between POS and forecourt controllersCompliance & RegulatoryFuel system safety and environmental regulationsLeak detection systems and monitoring requirementsState and local compliance standards Key Responsibilities Deliver structured technical training programs for new and existing techniciansConduct field training, ride-alongs, and hands-on system demonstrationsTrain on installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of fuel systemsDevelop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and job aidsEnsure technicians understand and follow regulatory and safety compliance requirementsEvaluate technician performance and identify skill gapsSupport rollout of new technologies, equipment, and system upgrades Preferred Skills Strong understanding of forecourt-to-POS integration and communication systemsAbility to troubleshoot both hardware and software-related issuesEffective communication and instructional delivery skillsExperience working in retail / C-store fuel environmentsPrior training or leadership experience preferred Work Environment Combination of classroom instruction and field-based trainingTravel required 50% of the time for on-site technician support and regional training Pay Range: $34 to$42 Per Hour Pay: $21.00 -$36.75 Hourly If an hourly or salary range is included in this ad it represents the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
