Responsibilities
- Protects company assets using Loss Prevention and Store Operating processes.
- Trains, audits for Loss Prevention and Safety compliance, and investigates internal and external theft issues.
- Assists with supervising personnel assigned to the region and managing organizational issues within company operations.
- Develops, monitors, and interprets key performance indicators (KPIs) and exception-based reporting to help reduce loss, identify trends, and pinpoint root causes in high-shrink locations.
- Directs, recommends, and proactively communicates appropriate implementation of Loss Prevention policies, practices, and initiatives.
- Conducts Loss Prevention and Safety audits on a regular basis to identify and correct issues that could cause substantial loss to the company.
- Performs routine visits to stores and participates in field meetings to ensure proper operational and Loss Prevention controls are in place.
- Proactively monitors controls to identify employee theft through the use of Point of Sale (POS) exception reporting tools.
- Develops and implements procedures to minimize the loss of merchandise, money, or company assets.
- Ensures the proper operation and oversees repairs of alarm, Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) equipment.
- Ensures compliance with all Operations and Loss Prevention processes during new store openings, store closings, and store relocations.
- Prevents, investigates, and resolves losses of company assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Asset Protection, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in retail loss prevention.
- Multi-store loss prevention experience preferred.
- Preferred certifications: CFI, CPP, LQ, or LPC; Wicklinger-Zulawski or Reid Certification.
