Regional Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing associates with a focus on motivating, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Engaging the team to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance.
  • Showing strong leadership, addressing budgetary objectives, and equipping the team with the tools needed for success.
  • Strategically planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services for the assigned Region.
  • Directing, optimizing, and coordinating the full order cycle.
  • Ensuring all hubs are always recruited and keeping track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery, and routes.
  • Monitoring routes with hubs and ensuring they work with dispatch to optimize all routes and fix any issues found.
  • Resolving any arising problems or complaints.
  • Supervising, coaching, and training hub managers and warehouse workforce.
  • Maintaining cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
  • Maintaining metrics and analyzing data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Complying with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
  • Traveling to locations to cover while managers are on vacation if there is not someone capable at the hub.
  • Traveling to underperforming hubs to help get them back on track.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant distribution management/leadership experience.
    • A minimum of 5 years of final mile/last mile experience.
    • Experience managing, recruiting, and working with independent contractors.
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.
    • Highly organized and process-oriented.
    • Experience working with furniture preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task effectively.
    • Leadership in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
    • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
    • Basic quantitative/financial analysis skills.
    • Exemplifies strong ownership over projects from start to finish.
    • Cross-functional collaboration.
    • Flexibility in hours with weekend availability (Saturdays) depending on warehouse package volume and business need.
