About the role
DHL Supply Chain is seeking a motivated, organized Regional Inventory Control Manager to provide leadership and strategic oversight for inventory management within an assigned region/sector. This role is instrumental in progressing inventory strategy, developing expertise, and enhancing functional structure while serving as a liaison between vendors, customers, and internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall inventory management expertise, defining best practice policies, procedures, and techniques.
- Lead and strategically oversee the implementation and adherence to best practices, monitoring and reporting issues and compliance regularly.
- Serve as a point of escalation, mentor, and community builder for lower-level inventory staff.
- Act as an inventory liaison between vendors, customers, and internal departments to achieve operational objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement of inventory control disciplines and application.
- Support hiring, training, and development of inventory control associates.
- Develop, coordinate, and ensure the establishment of best practices for inventory management.
- Recommend and implement policies, processes, and procedures to ensure accurate records of inventory activities and status.
- Establish and maintain good inventory control practices at all sites.
- Define and refine consistent site metrics and reporting, ensuring the integrity of inventory metrics.
- Lead inventory analysis, including physical inventories, discrepancy investigations, and reporting to maintain adequate inventory levels and control.
- Stay abreast of technology enhancements within the industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of work-related experience in inventory control, logistics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, distribution, or a related field.
- 3+ years in an Inventory Control Manager role, preferably in a unit pick environment at a large company.
- 3+ years of client relationship experience (preferred).
Pay
National salary range of $85,000–$150,000.
