Regional Interior Design Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid Interior Designers with all aspects of project execution, including conceptual design, space planning, material selection, and procurement.
• Assist with CAD drafting and space planning tasks under the guidance of senior designers and/or managers.
• Maintain material library, organizing samples, catalogs, and resources for easy access and reference by the design team.
• Communicate with vendors on custom order quotes and lead times and assist designers with sourcing and procurement efforts as needed.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including PO’s, meeting notes and agendas, presentations, and follow up materials as needed.
• Attend Model installations as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.
• 1-3 years Interior Design or related experience.
• Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint on Macintosh platform.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Excellent work ethic, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback.
• California Motor Vehicle License – unrestricted.
• Moderate regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) required.

Qualifications

Your physical and office/site presence requirements include the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint on Macintosh platform.
