Regional Interior Design Assistant

About the role

This position requires assisting the Manager, Interior Design and Interior Designers with the development and implementation of model homes. The position requires an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be detail oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, able to cope under pressure, maintain good judgment, eager to learn, and have a professional, supportive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Aid Interior Designers with all aspects of project execution, including conceptual design, space planning, material selection, and procurement.
• Assist with CAD drafting and space planning tasks under the guidance of senior designers and/or managers.
• Maintain material library, organizing samples, catalogs, and resources for easy access and reference by the design team.
• Communicate with vendors on custom order quotes and lead times and assist designers with sourcing and procurement efforts as needed.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including PO’s, meeting notes and agendas, presentations, and follow-up materials as needed.
• Attend Model installations as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.
• 1-3 years Interior Design or related experience.
• Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint on Macintosh platform.
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent work ethic, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Copes well under pressure and accepts constructive feedback.
• California Motor Vehicle License - unrestricted. Moderate regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) required.
