About the role

Ashley Furniture Industries, the world's largest furniture manufacturer, is seeking a Regional Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic partner to operations leadership and employees across multiple locations within an assigned region. This is a high-impact role for an experienced HR professional who wants to move beyond administrative HR and become a trusted strategic advisor to operations leaders, driving business performance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness across a dynamic, multi-location operation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to operations leadership across multiple locations
  • Align HR strategies with business objectives to drive performance, engagement, and workforce stability
  • Partner with regional and site leadership teams to develop and execute workforce plans and organizational strategies
  • Leverage HR metrics and business insights to identify trends, assess organizational needs, and recommend solutions
  • Balance employee advocacy with business needs while maintaining strong relationships at all levels
  • Provide guidance on talent management, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Support organizational design, restructuring, and change management initiatives
  • Drive performance management processes and coach leaders on effective performance conversations
  • Support workforce planning to ensure the right talent is in the right roles at the right time
  • Improve employee relations by partnering with leaders to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and build positive work environments
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and support regional retention strategies
  • Conduct investigations and provide guidance on complex employee relations matters
  • Coach leaders on effective communication, team development, and employee engagement strategies
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices across all regional locations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Provide guidance and training to leaders on HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Partner with Corporate HR and Legal on policy interpretation and risk mitigation
  • Ensure consistent execution of HR processes across the region (performance management, talent reviews, compensation planning, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Support implementation of HR programs, initiatives, and system enhancements
  • Maintain accurate HR data and reporting for the region
  • Build strong relationships across multiple locations and all levels of the organization
  • Frequent travel throughout the assigned region to support sites, meet with leaders, and engage with employees
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, and other HR functions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, including multi-location or regional HRBP experience
  • Proven ability to partner strategically with operations leaders and influence at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Experience with employee relations, performance management, talent management, and workforce planning
  • Ability to analyze HR metrics and business data to inform decisions and drive action
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand operational priorities and challenges
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50–75%) throughout assigned region
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (UKG, Workday, ADP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience in manufacturing, retail, distribution, or multi-site operations environments
  • Experience supporting high-volume, hourly workforces
  • Experience with organizational design, restructuring, or change management
  • Experience with M&A integration or site openings/closures
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred in some regions
