Responsibilities
- Identifies volunteer services within the local community to meet the needs of the community, patients, and families.
- Responsible for meeting the Medicare 5% requirement for volunteer services.
- Engages within local communities to promote volunteer recruitment and provide education on hospice volunteer services.
- Arranges for the assignment of volunteers and provision of volunteer support to patients/caregivers based on the volunteer plan of care.
- Provides information to individuals and community groups about the hospice volunteer program.
- Evaluates the volunteer program on an ongoing basis to determine if changes are needed to the services being provided. Participates in QAPI activity.
- Investigates and resolves complaints related to volunteer services for assigned care center. Escalates as needed to regional manager of volunteer services.
- Conducts in-person assessment for field activity sign-off or patient care visits.
- Complies with policies, procedures, and regulatory mandates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. May be substituted with three years' experience in a related field.
- Must be familiar with general use and functions of computer, internet, email, and navigation/starting programs. Ability to self-manage online HR services and training.
Preferred: One year of direct or indirect supervisory or leadership experience.

Pay
Attractive pay range of $55,000–$65,000.
