About the role

Responsibilities
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
- Identify and recruit host churches, host families, and key volunteers in North America, Grand Cayman, Barcelona, and South Korea.
- Train and supply these individuals with safeguarding and training materials.
- Engage with these key volunteers to enrich partnerships.
- Involves domestic and international travel.
- Maintain constant contact with volunteers and beneficiaries for the duration of their stay in order to provide emotional and spiritual support. Address questions or problems that arise.
- Maintain databases of applications, orientations, safeguarding materials, and other pertinent files for host churches, host families, and ITLs.
- Aid in interviewing ITL (Interpreter/Team Leader) candidates and supervise them as they serve. Provide ongoing contact and support, and evaluate their performance.
- Conduct post program interviews with host churches and host families to assess the program impact and the role of Samaritans Purse within that context.
- Keep host families and volunteers engaged by supplying updates from the field offices, follow up reports, and photos of the beneficiaries they hosted.
- Empower Childrens Heart Project international staff to maintain an approved, qualified, and passport/visa ready pool of ITLs for beneficiary groups.
- Develop training workshops for potential and active ITLs and lead those events. Provide updated policies, information, support materials, and evangelism training to ITLs.
- Visit project locations that require intervention due to crisis, death, serious medical complications, and other unexpected issues. Serve as a transport when needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university and three (3) to five (5) years related experience/training working with church leadership and volunteers; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Cross cultural experience required.
- Language proficiency in Spanish preferred.
