About the role

The Regional Growth Director is responsible for driving strategic growth of the AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance program. This role involves translating market strategy into specific, actionable tactics with measurable objectives, outreach initiatives, partnering with the local field sales/director team and marketing strategies to achieve assigned growth targets across all channels.

Responsibilities

  • Foster meaningful relationships with key agency principals to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Design a market plan to emphasize the UHC value proposition, engage and train new agents/agencies, and enhance the skills and knowledge of existing agents/agencies while promoting a culture of portfolio growth.
  • Swiftly identify and address any issues that may adversely affect the organization by collaborating with internal partners.
  • Define the local go-to-market strategy and lead efforts in executing this strategy to meet our growth objectives and surpass overall net growth.
  • Network with local and/or professional organizations to forge relationships aligned with our vision and values.

Requirements

  • Current health insurance license
  • 3+ years of experience successful sales experience representing insurance products that cater to the senior market
  • 3+ years of experience presenting in large group/executive settings
  • 3+ years of experience working with and training insurance agents
  • Ability to travel up to 50% in assigned US market/region
  • Experience selling Medicare Supplements

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of the focused markets within the assigned region including competitors, market/consumer trends, provider groups and agent/agency behaviors
  • Data-driven approach to identifying trends and opportunities to grow the market and maximize retention
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to communicate the UHC value proposition to agents
  • Ability to assess recruiting needs and leverage agency relationships to fill growth needs
  • Leadership qualities to hold oneself to a high degree of excellence, accountability, and standards
  • Strategic thinking and innovation to evolve strategies in the region
  • Knowledge of UHC tools for sales and retention opportunities and gaps to act upon
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders to understand trends in sales, disenrollment, and retention outliers as well as compliance concerns

Pay

The salary for this role will range from $90,000 to $195,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance.
