About the role
Seeking a Regional Float Medical Assistant II to provide clinical and administrative support across multiple locations within a region.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams, record vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and administer medications as directed.
- Collect data for patient assessments and discharge plans under supervision.
- Process laboratory specimens and communicate findings to Providers or Nurses.
- Accurately document care in the electronic medical record system (EPIC).
- Handle point-of-service tasks such as scheduling, visit prep, co-pay collection, and patient tracking.
- Perform department-specific clinical duties, including point-of-care testing, screenings, and other procedures.
- Manage routine office duties like faxing, copying, and room prep, while maintaining a clean environment.
- Build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff, and triage work issues.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and ensure safety policies are followed.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic program.
- Minimum six months of relevant experience; BLS certification required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology; experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC) preferred.
- Experience in phlebotomy is desirable.

- Full-time, onsite role with local travel.
- Variable daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
