Regional Financial Analyst II

About the role

The Regional Financial Analyst II reports to the Director of Finance, Great Hearts America Home Office. The position is based remotely in Louisiana within the Finance department. It supports financial decision‑making by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data, performing simple to moderately complex financial and operational analysis to support short‑ and long‑range strategic plans, forecasting, and operating budgets. This is a four‑year grant‑funded role funded through September 30, 2030; continuation depends on grant funding and will end when funding expires. The role supports the launch of the Lake Charles campus (Fall 2027), expansion of the Harveston campus in Baton Rouge, and the opening of a third campus by the end of the grant period.

Responsibilities

• Updating and maintaining financial models, creating and maintaining short and long term forecasts including cash flows for multiple campuses.
• Partnering with Academy and CMO staff to support the annual budget development process.
• Interfacing with Academy leadership monthly to review and analyze financial statements.
• Supporting Academy and CMO Leadership with monitoring expansion projects and associated costs as necessary.
• Cross‑coordinating with Accounting to ensure accuracy of financial reports.
• Cross‑coordinating with Grant Accounting Teams to ensure grant compliance alignment with budgeted grant allocations and state and federal reporting requirements.
• Supporting development of grant program procedures.
• Preparing internal and external financial reporting, including preparation of quarterly board reports and state reporting.
• Supporting the Annual Audit Process.
• Assisting with Compliance Monitoring through identification and/or documentation of policies and procedures, including revisions needed, to ensure compliance.
• Identifying and communicating any internal control issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (minimum). 4‑6+ years of accounting or finance work experience preferred; experience in education preferred. This range is intended to bridge Financial Analyst II and Financial Analyst III responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance card or Louisiana and any new region equivalent.
• Physical functions require standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching; may be required to move or position equipment up to approximately 15 pounds.
• Travel required: will need to travel locally to the various academies and for training and professional development opportunities.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000‑$90,000.
