About the role

Under minimal supervision, provide onsite service, repair, and installation of company products at customer locations. Support a range of system hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires frequent local and out-of-state travel, approximately 20–35% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Service equipment and/or products at customer sites or service center to include all contracted preventative maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, consumable changes, installations, and start-ups.
  • Interpret operation manuals to determine the root cause of tool failures.
  • Provide documentation of preventative maintenance, downtime, issues, and time spent preparing reports for product movement and justification for on-site service; show proficiency in using customers’ systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance with little supervision.
  • Order, expedite, and notify customers or management when a replacement of the product is necessary.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using service maintenance checklists and protocols.
  • Identify and escalate design issues to engineering and management for resolution.
  • Provide technical support to customers on the operation or maintenance of the system tool and/or equipment.
  • Act as a customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
  • Guide other field technicians and field service engineers.
  • Train and mentor Field Service Technicians levels I–III.
  • Assist in all functions required in the operations of the service center and provide service support to other customer sites as needed.
  • Comply with Finesse training for proper maintenance of parts usage and transactions.
  • Comply with EBARA’s safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara and customer safety policies.

Qualifications

  • Associate of Science degree in Electronics, completion of an accredited basic electronics program, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Preferred: six to ten years of work-related experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical skills.
  • Working knowledge of principles of semiconductor and/or vacuum technology.
  • Strong customer relations skills.
