Regional Director of Procurement (Las Vegas)
About the role
Oversee and manage compliance with Strategic Sourcing Procurement programs (systems, processes, purchasing programs) as well as regulatory and regional corporate citizenship programs. Utilize contract development strategies to maintain Caesars’ leverage and flexibility while reducing overall operational risks for Caesars properties in the Las Vegas Region, including Laughlin properties. This position reports to the Vice President of Procurement and manages supply chain operations and communication with stakeholders. Responsible for the smooth operation of procurement, receiving, warehousing, and expediting of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
Responsibilities
- Technical Procurement
- Apply supplier management tools and techniques using scorecards, Annual Business Reviews (ABRs), etc.
- Prepare and/or monitor all requests for proposals (RFPs) and sourcing initiatives through an approved Caesars method.
- Analyze supplier responses to ensure alignment with National and Regional programs.
- Warehouse & Receiving Operations
- Create standards for the receipt and movement of assets and inventory.
- Indirectly manage warehouse operations by maximizing Days on Hand (DOH), Inventory Turns, Supplier Efficiencies, Internal and External Fill Rates, and staffing efficiencies.
- Maintain a complete understanding of warehouse operations, including lead times, inventory, productivity, expense, and consolidation.
- State, Local, and Diversity Requirements
- Educate and collaborate with operators regarding compliance programs and property-specific requirements.
- Adhere to state, local, and city regulations related to Open Access and vendor development/compliance with MBE, WBE, and DBE goals.
- Ensure purchasing practices comply with State Casino Regulations and monitor non-gaming vendor payments.
- Work with property compliance committees on MBE/WBE/DBE certifications and maintain a comprehensive list of participants, including their capabilities and offerings.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Build networks with property end-users and key stakeholders to maximize benefits from national and regional agreements.
- Analyze historical purchasing and usage data from multiple sources to create cost-reduction roadmaps.
- Document specifications and supply requirements where none exist and obtain stakeholder agreement.
- Create executive-level presentations and meet with stakeholders frequently.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and report financial and service-level performance for regional contracts.
- Demonstrate insight into local and regional business requirements on a 3-5 year horizon.
- Oversee P&L responsibility for purchasing cost centers.
- Establish linkages between Purchasing, Receiving, Warehouse, and property finance (Accounts Payable and Inventory Control) to maximize efficiencies.
Requirements
- Two years in progressively challenging roles in sourcing, negotiations, and supplier management.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in sourcing and managing warehouse operations, products, and services.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using e-sourcing tools (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
