Regional Director of Nursing, DON

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Legacy Healthcare by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture.
• Set and attain Nursing Department goals.
• Inspire your clinical team.
• Creative problem solving and oversee all aspects of the Clinical Department.
• Act as the heart of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive an unparalleled standard of care.
• May be required to perform DON, ADON, and/or MDS duties as needed.

Requirements

• As a minimum, Associate's Degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) in Science, Nursing or related field.
• An unencumbered State of Iowa Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
• 5 years of R.N. experience.
• Previous experience managing a department.
• Prior Director of Nursing or experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with healthcare regulations and standards.

Skills

• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
