Regional Director of Nursing, DON

About the role

We are currently searching for a Regional Director of Nursing to join our friendly, caring and supportive team at Legacy Healthcare. Responsibilities

• Ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Legacy Healthcare by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture.
• Set and attain Nursing Department goals.
• Inspire your clinical team.
• Creative problem solving.
• Oversee all aspects of the Clinical Department.
• Travel to different locations in Iowa that are in need of DON coverage.
• Acting Director of Nursing - responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Department.
• May require DON, ADON and/or MDS duties based on the needs of the company.

Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate's Degree (a Bachelor’s degree is preferred) in Science, Nursing or a related field.
• An unencumbered State of Iowa Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
• 5 years of R.N. experience.
• Previous experience managing a department.
• Prior Director of Nursing or experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
