About the role

Northbridge University is seeking a Regional Director of Financial Aid to join our Lakeland Campus and Tampa Campus teams. This position involves providing students with the maximum amount of financial aid according to applicable regulations, with timely service and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Financial Aid Office for the assigned locations.
  • Provide direction and leadership in implementing policies, procedures, programs, and services of the Financial Aid Department.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality service to all students.
  • Comply with Document Retention policy and maintain a proper filing process.
  • Maintain and update student records with all required documents.
  • Review, document, and approve students with unusual circumstances.
  • Coordinate with personnel for the management of the Federal Work Study program.
  • Ensure operational efficiency of the FA department to support FTC goals.
  • Evaluate and resolve disbursement eligibility exceptions to ensure students receive aid on time.
  • Determine student eligibility for various financial aid funds and manage these funds accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a high-level service experience for students.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with Financial Aid personnel to keep them informed on Department and Institution matters.
  • Maintain compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Avoidance of fraud and misuse of funds.
  • Actively participate in meetings and/or Institutional events as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields of accounting, finance, business, administration, etc., required.
  • At least 3 years of Financial Aid work experience in a supervisory position.
  • Prior experience working in proprietary schools preferred.
  • Availability to travel and work rotating hours, nights, and weekends.
  • Availability to attend conferences and professional development events.
  • Excellent technology skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), CampusVue, among others.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with financial aid software and systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule is flexible and may involve evenings, nights, and weekends.
