About the role

Northbridge University is seeking a Regional Director of Financial Aid to join our Lakeland Campus and Tampa Campus teams. This role involves providing students with the maximum amount of financial aid according to applicable regulations, with timely service and high quality.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Financial Aid Office for the assigned locations.
  • Provide direction and leadership in implementing policies, procedures, programs, and services of the Financial Aid Department.
  • Ensure timely and high quality service to all students.
  • Comply with Document Retention policy and dispose of documents properly.
  • Maintain student records with all required documents completed and preserved.
  • Review, document, and approve students with unusual circumstances such as Dependency Override, Professional Judgment, Plus Override, and Unusual Enrollment.
  • Collaborate with personnel to manage schedules, train, and assign tasks for the Federal Work Study program.
  • Ensure operational efficiency of the FA department to support FTC goals in terms of start, retention, and financial budgets.
  • Collaborate with designated institutional staff to evaluate and resolve disbursement eligibility exceptions.
  • Determine student eligibility for various financial aid funds, verify, process, and grant these in accordance with need analysis and regulations.
  • Maintain a high-level service experience for students receiving financial aid.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with Financial Aid personnel to inform them of Department and Institution matters.
  • Maintain compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and regulations and ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Control and manage federal, state, and institutional funds assigned.
  • Participate in meetings and/or Institutional events as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields of accounting, finance, business, administration, etc., required.
  • At least 3 years of Financial Aid work experience in a supervisory position, with prior experience in proprietary schools preferred.
  • Availability to travel and work rotating hours, nights, and weekends.
  • Excellent technology skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), CampusVue, among others.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of financial aid regulations and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Experience with CampusVue.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
