Regional Director of Clinical Services

Frequent regional travel to IL, IN, and OH required (approximately 75% of the time, with the remainder being remote).

About the role

In this independent position, you will support communities in all states where Franciscan Ministries and Franciscan Advisory Services operate. You will oversee all aspects of clinical services at the regional level, including monitoring clinical processes, training, auditing, and supporting community Nursing Management to ensure the delivery of quality care. This role focuses on maintaining quality standards and organizational objectives in partnership with each assigned community.

Responsibilities

• Assist community leadership in achieving and maintaining key indicator benchmarks and quality measures above state and national averages to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
• Onboard and train new clinical leadership hires at the communities.
• Audit, train, and ensure adoption of the electronic health record platform.
• Conduct targeted reviews, mock surveys, and survey preparedness at each community to ensure compliance and readiness for annual surveys.
• Assure clinical leadership is knowledgeable of new regulations and standards implemented by regulatory agencies.
• Serve as a resource for survey preparation following standard practices, CMS guidelines, and Franciscan Ministries/Franciscan Advisory Services policies and procedures.
• Assist with Plans of Correction as needed and monitor new QA processes developed in response to citations.
• Utilize competency tools to ensure clinical staff practice meets accepted professional standards while collaborating with community Clinical Leaders to identify needs.
• Remain up to date on current professional standards of practice, laws, and regulations that may impact the communities.
• Provide oversight of the planning and organization of Quality Improvement activities at the communities.
• Identify and assist in the development and revision of policies, procedures, and forms as needed.
• Monitor for Risk Management and Compliance issues within the communities and report issues to community leadership and the VP of Clinical Services.
• Serve as a resource and expert in infection control practices and surveillance, analyzing data to prevent infections from occurring or spreading, including direct observations and corrections while in the community.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
• 5+ years of clinical leadership experience.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Knowledge and proficiency in electronic health care records (PointClickCare preferred).
• Proficient in federal and state regulatory requirements.

Pay

USD $145,000.00 – $153,000.00 per year.
