About the role
The Dir Regional Facility Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for facility services across a defined region within MultiCare Health System, including hospitals, ambulatory sites, urgent cares, and clinics. This role oversees Environmental & Linen Services, Building Services, Plant Operations, Property Management, and may support additional service lines as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute MultiCare Health System facility operational strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Administer and maintain all departmental services in accordance with standards and criteria established by regulatory agencies such as the Joint Commission, CMS, DOH as well as local and federal agencies to ensure compliance with those external requirements.
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning, optimizing the utilization of personnel, technology, and infrastructure to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Contribute to long range facility and infrastructure planning.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of building systems, utilities, and infrastructure (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, vertical transportation, life safety).
- Serve as the subject matter expert on all environmental services matters.
- Oversee minor construction, renovations, and facility improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration, Business, Public Administration, or related field required.
- Master’s Degree Preferred.
- Eight (8) years of technical experience working in any combination of regulatory compliance, contract administration, routine capital construction, property management and/or engineering for various equipment systems found in a client-services/client-oriented service provider organization providing services in a healthcare setting.
- Five (5) years of experience with The Joint Commission standards, specific familiarity with Environment of Care standards, requirements, and compliance.
- Five (5) years of management or supervisory experience with budget responsibility.
- Driver License/Abstract - Multiple Issuers.
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) within 3 years of Hire Date.
- Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting minimum requirements.

Pay
The pay scale is $142,459.20 - $205,025.60 USD. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
