Director Regional Operations
About the role
The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient site operations across sites, prioritizing the patient and provider experience, fostering a high performing culture of efficiency and continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. The Regional Director works closely with leaders across HSS to support regional growth expansion, ensure all services are supported within HSS's matrix leadership structure, and supports their teams by ensuring effective organizational communication and robust professional development.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial management of region, including preparing annual operating and capital budgets, monitoring monthly expenses and variances, initiating and maintaining purchase orders, and managing approved invoices for all payments
- Lead and support enterprise and regional initiatives to optimize utilization of all services (e.g. session time optimization)
- Identify and proactively communicate themes or opportunities to relevant departments and stakeholders, to ensure awareness and action
- Develop and track key metrics for site operations, including measures patient and provider satisfaction, appointment access, optimized registration, and throughput
- Work collaboratively with Regional Directors, Clinical Managers, Administrative Managers and Regional Medical Directors to identify operational challenges, and opportunities to standardize and simplify workflows and processes (e.g. manual tracking of session time)
- Ensure the ongoing management, repair and upkeep of facilities, to ensure sites operate effectively, efficiently, and safely
- Collaborate with HSS Facilities team and contracted maintenance companies to coordinate and track repairs, obtain quotes, and renew/start service agreements for facility operations
- Support Clinical and Administrative Managers on all aspects of performance management, including staff performance evaluations, training, and development
- Provide tailored leadership coaching to direct reports, ensuring clear role expectations and skill development to grow in their role and at HSS
- Develop strategies to foster and maintain a strong culture of teamwork, organizational engagement, and commitment to excellence within the site
- In collaboration with the Clinical and Administrative Managers, create and maintain consistent forums to ensure staff-wide and team-based communication on all relevant topics (e.g. broad organizational updates, new initiatives, survey preparedness)
- Ensure leadership's onsite presence during business hours and coverage is arranged for planned and unexpected reasons
- Serve as an operational lead in new site activation, ensuring stakeholder input in site design and set up, planning for schedule changes, communicating site open timelines to all stakeholders, and ensuring staff are prepared for regulatory surveys
- Coordinate with Service Line and Operational Excellence teams on decisions related to space or resource allocation for physicians, new physician recruitment, and ad hoc recurring issues
- Partner with teams to grow volume, through targeted initiatives such as optimizing web rankings and strengthening community relationships and increasing referrals
Pay
The base pay scale for this position is $150,500.00 - $229,750.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.
