Regional Director Construction - East
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Regional Director Construction - East to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will lead regional construction efforts across a multi-site retail portfolio, with responsibility for delivering new store openings, remodels, and relocations. The position will partner closely with Real Estate and Design teams to keep development initiatives aligned with business objectives while managing budgets, schedules, and project risk. The right candidate will also build and mentor construction talent and help ensure successful execution across a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional construction projects ensuring alignment with business goals
- Oversee delivery of new store openings, remodels, and relocations
- Resolve at-risk project issues promptly and efficiently
- Collaborate with Real Estate and Design teams on development phases
- Manage contractor sourcing and vendor selection processes
- Monitor budgets, forecasting, and adherence to schedules
- Mentor and develop Project Managers and construction staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 10-15 years of commercial retail construction experience
- Strong multi-site retail construction background
- Proven success in managing multiple large-scale projects
- Experience leading and developing construction teams
- Knowledge of contracts, bidding, scheduling, and budgeting
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $155,000 – $165,000 annually
