Regional Director

About the role

Stantec is seeking a Regional Director for Buildings Program Management in the Georgia market. In this role, you will grow the Program Management / Owner's Representative business through an existing client network, peer relationships, and collaboration within Stantec. You will oversee a diverse team, including Program Managers and operational staff, to ensure success and growth in the region.

Responsibilities

• Win Program and Project Management assignments in the Buildings Sector, focusing on organic account growth and developing new opportunities through your professional network.
• Manage business processes for Programs, including strategic planning, Go-No-Go decisions, contract reviews, financial management, and reporting in coordination with Buildings Program Management Business Leaders.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Buildings Program Management staff, including staffing allocation and management to meet utilization targets across the region.
• Oversee financial and operational aspects of the Buildings Program Management business in the region.
• Manage program activities, expectations, and risk while leading, supporting, or advising clients throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Serve as Principal-In-Charge, acting as the most senior client contact and trusted advisor.
• Ensure project success through comprehensive development work plans outlining required activities, approvals, and contingencies.
• Develop executive-level, longstanding relationships with clients, project teams, and regulatory agencies to foster trust and respect.
• Leverage cutting-edge project planning and management technology to address capital project challenges.
• Recruit, develop, and retain key staff to serve in leadership roles while winning and delivering work.
• Ensure compliance with all company requirements for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment.
• Mentor and coach staff to grow their capabilities and better leverage Stantec’s experiences for existing and new clients.
• Perform market analysis and develop region-specific strategies to identify potential program management opportunities and growth areas.
• Build the Stantec brand as a preeminent provider of program management services in the region.
• Support other Stantec operations in the region to help win and deliver work.
• Actively participate in local conferences and professional organizations as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 15+ years of experience providing “Full Service” Owner’s Representative Program Management in design and construction.
• 10+ years of local and recent regional United States experience.
• Significant experience in any or all of the following sectors: Higher Education, Healthcare, and commercial programs/projects.

Skills

• Strong collaborator and self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills to expand the Buildings Program Management business.
• Proven client relationship and communication skills.
• Experience building, leading, and managing a team of project managers and support staff.
• Ability to prepare overall project budgets, including construction, planning, design fees, development costs, and contingencies.
• Ability to prepare overall project schedules, including land development, design, construction, inspection, and occupancy phases.
• Leadership in developing staff, tools, and systems to support the growth of the Buildings Program Management group.
• Forward-thinking and strategic mindset to grow and maintain the US Buildings Program Management practice.

Primary location: Atlanta, GA. Other possible locations: Macon, GA.
