About the Role
As a Regional Director, you’ll strategically manage client relationships by providing key business insights and expertise on all client situations to drive loyalty, profitability, and long-term client retention. This role oversees and fosters an environment of ownership and accountability for a team of community managers responsible for delivering property management products and services with a focus on exceptional customer service. This is a hybrid opportunity based at our Chicago corporate office.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the leadership team to devise client relationship management plans and relationship-building activities based on the classification and importance of each client.
- Execute relationship management activities to identify client issues and opportunities, developing detailed action plans to improve property and client relationships, with special attention on high-risk accounts.
- Model company culture, values, and brand promise to foster and strengthen client relationships.
- Act as a brand ambassador by communicating and demonstrating the value and benefits of our products and services.
- Build strong relationships with board members by acting as a trusted advisor, bringing key insights and solutions to specific situations, and following through on commitments with honesty and transparency.
- Understand and influence the financial and operational goals and objectives for each client, including developer transition, capital improvement projects, financial challenges, and board goals.
- Maintain growth and profitability of each account through the addition of new products and services based on client needs and pricing.
- Manage FirstService client contracts and obtain timely renewals.
- Attract, develop, and retain a diverse team of managers capable of meeting the property management needs of each client.
- Support the onboarding of new community managers and provide ongoing training, coaching, and career development opportunities.
- Influence and mentor community managers and their teams, emphasizing professionalism, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
- Hold self and managers accountable for completing property management tasks in alignment with standard operating procedures, owning issues, and solving problems collaboratively.
- Comply with the Illinois Condo Act and FirstService Residential policies, ensuring adherence to all codes and regulatory requirements for the property.
- Ensure due diligence for the protection of clients’ funds, property, and assets against reasonably foreseeable contingencies or losses.
- Maintain service excellence in all interactions with residents, vendors, staff, and colleagues, with knowledge and enforcement of Community Governing Documents.
Requirements
- Active Community Association Manager license in the state of Illinois.
- 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in property management or a relevant field.
- Understanding of physical building management, Condominium law, financial planning, and laws affecting property management.
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers, clients, and others by sharing ideas constructively and addressing problems collaboratively.
- Budgetary knowledge and control for executing community programs and related cost-shared activities.
- High energy, adaptability, and ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
- Ability to work with sensitive and/or confidential information.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Community management experience or equivalent professional experience in a related field strongly preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise management office and gatehouse staff members.

Pay
$115,000 - $130,000 per year.
