About the role

Croda is a FTSE100 company that brings its purpose to life—Smart science to improve lives™—through the research, development, and manufacturing of novel ingredients for the Life Sciences and Consumer Care sector. We are a B2B organization with a global team of more than 5,000 colleagues, operating a culture rooted in Innovation, Collaboration, and responsible actions to be people, land, and climate positive by 2030.

This 12-month contract role will lead regional delivery of a 2-year, £200m transformation program that is highly complex, global, and touches nearly all parts of the organization. As Regional Change & Communications Lead, you will ensure central transformation plans are translated into coordinated regional activation plans, communications are executed effectively, stakeholders are engaged, and change activity is delivered consistently across North America while working flexibly across other regions as business needs evolve.

A key member of the central Transformation Change & Communications team, you will also work closely with the Group Internal Communications & Engagement team to ensure a consistent narrative, alignment of communication channels and campaigns, and adherence to corporate communication standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuity between central Change & Communications plans and regional delivery activity, ensuring plans are practical, sequenced, and aligned to regional business readiness.
  • Partner with Workstream Leads, Initiative Leads, business stakeholders, and Regional OD Partners to coordinate local delivery activity and ensure adoption actions are integrated into regional business plans.
  • Support rollout and embedding of central change interventions, communications campaigns, business readiness surveys, and post-implementation sustainment activity.
  • Drive ownership of change in BAU by supporting effective regional activation, stakeholder engagement, progress tracking, and escalation of risks or conflicting priorities.
  • Maintain regional communications plans in alignment with central plans, messaging, and campaign activity.
  • Tailor central messaging and campaigns for regional audiences where required, while maintaining consistency across transformation initiatives.
  • Produce and distribute regional communication materials and updates in line with central plans, materials, and agreed approaches.
  • Coordinate communication activity across functions and business areas, supporting leaders and stakeholders to engage at the right points in the change lifecycle.
  • Facilitate two-way communication between the Regional Change Network and the central team, gathering feedback on communications effectiveness and adoption activity.
  • Provide regular reporting on regional activity, progress, risks, and issues to regional stakeholders, the central team, and Workstream PM as required.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in change communications, stakeholder engagement, regional activation planning, or transformation delivery.
  • Ability to translate central plans into practical regional delivery plans, balancing global consistency with local relevance and business readiness.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining communications plans, updates, engagement materials, action trackers, and progress reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with regional leaders, HR, business stakeholders, Workstream Leads, and Initiative Leads.
  • Able to coordinate activities across multiple initiatives, functions, and business areas, managing sequencing, priorities, and potential overlap.
  • Able to identify emerging risks, resistance themes, and engagement opportunities, and to share insight, lessons learned, and best practice across regions.
  • Confident working with templates, toolkits, and ways of working, supporting continuous improvement and consistency across the Change & Communications function.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, change management, HR, organizational development, business, project delivery, or a related discipline.
  • Change management, communications, project management, or organizational development qualification or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.

Additional Information

  • This is a regional role, with the post holder expected to work closely with regional business stakeholders and the central Change & Communications team, including other regional leads.
  • The role may require flexibility to support regional time zones, key transformation milestones, go-lives, leadership forums, and stakeholder engagement activity.
  • The post holder will work in a matrix environment, partnering across central teams, regional teams, HR, Workstream Leads, Initiative Leads, and Change Networks.
