Responsibilities

  • Manages timeliness and accuracy of reporting by facilities: Manual Census, timely collection of private pay and resident liability and documentation of collection efforts.
  • Ensures collection policies and procedures are followed at all facilities.
  • Acts as corporate liaison/regional resource responsible for Social Security audits.
  • Ensures internal controls are in place at all facilities such as providing guidance and support with SSA audit requests and ensure timeliness of audit document submissions.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Medicaid case workers and local social security officials.
  • Provides support, direction, oversight, evaluates and education to multiple facility Business Office Managers according to policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare business office/billing, preferably for a skilled nursing facility, or central billing office.
  • A preference for a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field and/or experience in Medicaid and collections.
  • Computer knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills with the ability to quickly adopt existing and new company applications.
