Summary Planned Companies – Regional Building Services Support Associate – Job Description The Floating Building Services Associate provides operational support throughout the region by filling open assignments as needed in porter, trash valet, and groundskeeper positions. This role offers flexibility and ensures continuity of service across multiple communities and properties. In addition to supporting field operations, the Regional Building Services Associate serves as a resource for site inspections, associate coaching, safety compliance, and administrative support as directed by the Operations Manager and/or Executive Director. Regional Summary: Sacramento and East Bay Support Sample Cities: Sacramento, West Sacramento, Dublin, Fairfield, Folsom, Fremont, Hayward, Hercules, Livermore, Pittsburg, Pleasanton, Union City, Vacaville, Walnut Creek, Oakland. Primary Job Responsibilities: When assigned to a porter/groundskeeper/trash valet position, duties may include: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, corridors, walkways, stairwells, and amenity spaces. Pick up and dispose of litter and debris throughout the property. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces and shared spaces. Use power washer to attend to necessary areas. Report maintenance, safety, and cleanliness concerns to site management. Assist with property turnover preparation and general site upkeep. Support residents, guests, and property staff with building service-related needs. Perform groundskeeping duties as assigned, including debris removal and basic landscape upkeep. Perform trash valet duties including collection and proper disposal of resident waste. Complete additional building services tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Executive Director. Secondary Role And Responsibilities When not assigned to porter, groundskeeper, or trash valet coverage, the Floating Building Services Associate will: Conduct property and site inspections. Perform safety inspections and identify potential hazards. Coach and support field associates on company standards, expectations, and best practices. Assist with quality assurance reviews and operational audits. Complete administrative tasks, reporting, and documentation as assigned. Support training and onboarding initiatives for field associates. Partner with Operations Managers and Executive Directors to ensure service excellence across the region. Assist with special projects and operational priorities as needed. Requirements: Must be able to speak, read, and communicate effectively in English. Preference for background as maintenance technician. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily travel to assigned sites. Ability to work flexible hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday. On your feet for 90% of the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to travel regularly between assigned properties within the region.
