Location: 5349 W 76th St, Indianapolis, IN 46268
Work hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm Monday - Friday. Mandatory overtime which may include some Saturdays and Sundays.
About the role
As a Building Miscellaneous associate in a decoration and warehouse environment, you will assist our Production and Warehouse teams in maintaining a safe work environment through housekeeping and organization to ensure operational success through attaining KPIs in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming working environment in a Lean culture for all team members
- Collect and dispose of empty cardboard boxes; assist in breaking boxes down to maximize space according to safe work practices
- Collect and dispose of trash to help maintain a healthy work environment
- Assist the maintenance team with projects such as set up/tear down of team member events, painting, taping, dusting, cleaning, and mopping
Requirements
- Great attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate with knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a structured and process-oriented environment
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- Ability to work seasonal mandatory OT as needed and maintain excellent attendance
- Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders in spoken English, ensuring clarity and understanding
- Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English
- Learn tasks quickly, accuracy driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training preferred
- Proven experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing and warehouse environment
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision, or as part of a team
- Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis
- Lifting of no less than 15-50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment
