This is a remote position covering the New England geography. Potential candidates should reside in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, or Upstate New York (Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, or Rochester) and have access to airports within those locations.
Responsibilities
- Clearly understand and implement the marketing plan, accurately articulate the value proposition of the brand, and only utilize on-label and marketing materials approved by Regulatory/Compliance in order to attain sales/patient objectives
- Analyze local and regional business/managed markets trends to build both long and short-term goals that lead to a successful business plan
- Work in a matrix environment encompassing patient support services, specialty pharmacies, Marketing, Managed Care, Corporate Communications, and Medical Affairs
- Meet regularly with targeted healthcare professionals (HCPs) and staff within assigned geography to conduct disease awareness and product promotion
- Utilize a consultative, science-driven approach, and provide the HCP with the information needed to make the best decision for patients
- Drive patient identification initiatives
- Manage a territory budget in compliance with all Catalyst Pharmaceutical compliance policies
- Utilize CRM system to accurately document account profiles in a timely manner
- Conduct all activities with the highest degree of ethics and integrity and in compliance with company policies and applicable law
- Participate in local or national patient advocacy events (up to 8 times per year) to generate awareness about Catalyst support for the patient community and provide disease state/product information (as appropriate and approved by Regulatory/Compliance). These activities may take place in evenings or weekends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in life science, business, or healthcare preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales or related experience
- Experience in Neurology, Rare/Orphan Space is preferred
- Recent biopharmaceutical launch experience (within the past 3-5 years) preferred
- Ability to gain consistent access and develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centers
- Experience selling a product that requires extensive coordination with patient access services
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities
Travel
- 60% overnight travel within the assigned territory to see all target customers, attend local and national meetings, and participate in training sessions
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel on weekends for conferences may be required
Pay
The base salary for this position will range from $193,000 to $203,000. Candidate experience, professional licensing, and geographic location will be taken into consideration.
