About the role

The Regional Account Manager, Commercial (RAM) is a strategic, consultative sales professional responsible for prospecting, cultivating, and penetrating sales within selected corporate/regional accounts. This role also identifies and acquires large, strategic corporate customers to add to the portfolio. Following the FXO sales process, the RAM will identify, acquire, activate, and grow FedEx Office customers, serving as the primary contact for developing long-term relationships and negotiating program purchase commitments. The RAM uses business acumen to match FXO products and services with customer business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers using a proactive, strategic approach while developing tactical plans to drive strategy and revenue delivery.
  • Achieve all sales activity standards, revenue, and performance objectives related to retention and growth of existing and new customer prospects.
  • Identify customer business objectives and demonstrate how FXO products and services meet those needs.
  • Develop strategies to grow, enhance, and maintain long-term profitable customer relationships.
  • Actively partner with Sales and Operations leadership to support sales implementation and activation efforts.
  • Engage corporate and field resources as needed to support customer initiatives.
  • Function as a liaison between customers, FXO corporate teams, and vendor partners.
  • Manage assigned customers, including scheduling and conducting regular in-person visits to new and existing customers (national travel may be required).
  • Provide pricing information to the named account base per established pricing guidelines.
  • Interact with Sales leadership and support resources to develop and execute sales strategies for existing customers and new business development.
  • Identify and qualify new customer prospects and provide relevant information for consideration.
  • Initiate marketing activities to activate FXO services for defined customer segments.
  • Ensure customers are trained to utilize FXO ordering and purchasing guidelines.
  • Drive target products and promotions as directed.
  • Collaborate with other sales resources in a team-selling capacity, including involvement with other FedEx operating companies.
  • Refer project management and outsourcing coordination to appropriate Operations resources.
  • Direct, plan, and assist in customer recovery as needed.
  • Build and maintain a robust and accurate pipeline of business within the FXO CRM tool.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, including daily activities and account updates.
  • Utilize FedEx sponsorship programs to host key clients and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Maximize FedEx value delivered to customers by working cross-functionally within FXO, Services, and other FedEx Operating companies.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of business-to-business solutions selling experience, with a focus on prospecting new customers and developing existing business relationships.
  • Demonstrated business math and intermediate computer skills with MS Office.
  • High level of experience in sales planning, proposals, and selling value propositions to corporate-level customers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales financial targets/quotas with proven successful results.
  • Strong conceptual selling, presentation, closing, and organizational skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong appetite for learning.
  • Articulate; uses clear, convincing, and tailored communication.
  • Proven selling skills and knowledge of value propositions.
  • Flexible disposition; open to coaching and feedback.
  • Experience within the document solutions or product offerings industry preferred but not required.
  • Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software programs preferred.

  • Read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.
  • Function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure.
  • Work within the appropriate level of independence.
  • Regularly report to work and maintain established business hours to support the FedEx Office business.

  • Tech-savvy with hands-on experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Able to work collaboratively with others, including Sales team members and Sales Support partners.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to work independently.

Pay

Plano, TX range: $5,960.29/mo – $9,834.48/mo.
