About the role
The Region Dealer Development Manager (RDDM) drives all tactical aspects of developing the CLAAS dealer network in North America while supporting and implementing strategic initiatives within the assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Manages the current network and expands it by identifying and signing new dealers in alignment with the North American growth strategy.
- Develops and implements sustainable strategies to shape the dealer network coverage in target geographies.
- Maintains and evolves a system of key dealer metrics, including development, agreement, implementation, and follow-up of dealer plans.
- Collects and analyzes relevant data to conduct regular dealer evaluations and summarizes results for management.
- Coordinates annual dealer target agreements and performance review meetings; oversees conceptual project rollouts developed by central DND.
- Identifies and negotiates with potential new dealers, reviews business plans, agrees on new dealer start-up terms, and works closely with the sales, service, and parts teams to identify dealer performance targets.
- Coordinates and implements introduction, orientation, and regular follow-up with newly signed dealers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Economics or equivalent work experience.
- 5-10 years of job-related experience, including knowledge of dealer networks and experience in Ag dealer networks.
- Proven experience in creating customer success.
- Ability to build and conduct presentations/public speaking.
- Exceptional project management skills, including strong problem-solving and decision-making experience.
- Strategically minded, well organized, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
- Strong change management skills, enjoys new challenges, proactive behavior, self-motivated, and recognizes ownership of tasks.
- Able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
