About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager drives business growth and strengthens customer relationships across the Northeastern United States (ME, NH, VT, MA) and Canada, focusing on promoting industrial food processing equipment, increasing profitability, and maintaining a strong customer base.
Responsibilities
- Engage potential customers daily via phone, email, and in-person meetings; maintain records in Salesforce.
- Identify and pursue new sales prospects while nurturing existing accounts.
- Assess customer needs and budgets; develop tailored sales strategies.
- Create and update regional sales strategies aligned with management directives.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and promotional materials.
- Build and sustain long-term customer relationships through consistent follow-ups.
- Develop action targets and semiannual sales plans; execute strategic initiatives.
- Track and follow up on leads from referrals, trade shows, and other sources.
- Analyze market trends and recommend new services to management.
- Collaborate with dealers to provide sales support and submit activity reports.
- Submit weekly reports on customer activities, quotes, and orders.
- Plan and submit business travel itineraries in advance.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and marketing events to expand market knowledge.
- Provide technical support, operational testing, and follow-up at customer sites.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Deliver after-sales support in collaboration with technical and maintenance teams.
- Continuously seek process improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Uphold high ethical standards and maintain clear communication with management and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in sales within the bakery industry.
- Valid Driver’s License and U.S. Passport.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Combination of office and field sales work.
- Candidate should reside near the Canadian border to manage customers in Canada and Northeastern U.S. states.
- Moderate noise levels in work environment.
- Frequent local, domestic, and international travel required (by car and plane).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Requires strong vision abilities for data analysis and product evaluation.

- Proficiency in Windows OS, MS Office, and CRM tools (Salesforce).
