Refurbishment Lab Technician I
About the role
The Printhead Refurbishment Lab Technician manages the end-to-end restoration of industrial inkjet heads, starting with intake inspections to verify physical integrity and documentation. The technician performs baseline function testing and diagnostic scans to map nozzle health, feeding this data into an automated, data-driven cleaning loop. This loop dynamically targets blockages and continuously evaluates the hardware until the printhead either meets strict quality standards for shipment or is officially deemed unfixable.
Responsibilities
- Livest within a reasonable commuting distance to Boca Raton, FL to execute job responsibilities.
- Maintain operational readiness and safety by performing daily calibrations on diagnostic rigs and automated machinery.
- Prepare and dispose of specialized chemical solvents and ink wastes according to safety protocols.
- Uphold strict cleanroom standards to prevent particulate contamination.
- Meticulously log workflow data into internal inventory tracking systems.
- Maintain and monitor stock levels of vital lab consumables like filters, wipes, and chemical solutions to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Perform a variety of technical duties under supervision.
- Provide technical assistance, investigation, evaluation, and/or repair on customer and company-owned equipment.
- Follow documented policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability in basic soldering.
- Work with company facilities, shipping and receiving clerks.
Requirements
HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
Must be able to live within a reasonable commuting distance to Boca Raton, FL.
Skills
- Experience using multimeters for testing continuity and resistance.
- Experience reading circuit schematics.
- Experience fabricating prototypes on breadboards or printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Experience performing precision soldering for repairs.

Pay
$17.20- $25.49 Hourly.
Schedule
