Refrigerator Mechanic

Troubleshooting and Repair

Maintains and repairs all types of kitchen equipment.

Troubleshoots and repairs packaged a/c equipment, split a/c equipment, chillers, pumps, motors, boilers, furnaces and ancillary equipment.

Maintains and monitors the University's building automation system to identify and respond to problems.

• Repairs and installs refrigeration piping, steam piping, condensate piping and water piping.
• Installs refrigeration equipment and air conditioning equipment up to 25 tons.
• Works on electrical systems up to 480 volt a.c.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of certifiable commercial or industrial air conditioning/refrigeration experience
• Proficient in pipe threading, soldering and brazing
• Knowledge and experience with building automation systems (ALC)

Desired Qualifications:

• Proactive maintenance background
• NJ Qualified Journeymen Electrical license
• Attention to detail
• Self-starter
