Refrigerant Technician Positions and Responsibilities
Refrigerant Technician I
- This entry-level position is ideal for a self-starter with little to no experience or knowledge in the HVAC industry or refrigerant piping installation.
- This position is responsible for the less technical work on the job site such as assisting in the fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of all HVAC related refrigerant piping and equipment.
- General knowledge of refrigerant piping in commercial applications and design preferred but not required.
Refrigerant Technician II
- This position has 3-5 years of experience and is considered to have in-depth knowledge of refrigerant piping in HVAC applications and design.
- A Refrigerant technician II fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs all types of HVAC related refrigerant piping products and equipment but still requires some assistance and is supervised by a Technician III or above.
Refrigerant Technician III
- This position has 5 or more years of experience and is considered to have mastery knowledge of commercial refrigerant piping in HVAC applications and design.
- A Refrigerant technician III fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs all types of HVAC related refrigerant piping products and equipment.
- This position requires OSHA training, high proficiency with blueprints- reading and layout, 608 Universal EPA card and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay Range
- Refrigerant Technician I: $14-22/hr
- Refrigerant Technician II: $18-26/hr
- Refrigerant Technician III: $24-32/hr
