Refrigeration Mechanic
Job Description
Diagnostics and repairs issues with air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics for new installations and repairs.
Computes heat loads and cooling requirements to ensure proper system functionality.
Inspects and repairs Life Safety components such as fire/smoke walls, doors, and exit corridors.
Identifies and corrects unsafe practices and conditions to maintain a safe working environment.
Completes preventive maintenance and routine inspections accurately and in a timely manner.
Adheres to safety procedures and codes to ensure compliance with healthcare, federal, state, and local regulations.
Selects and requisitions necessary materials and hardware for maintenance tasks.
Manages assigned projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and effectively.
Provides on-call coverage outside standard working hours as required by policy.
Prioritizes work tasks and responds quickly to requests for assistance.
Demonstrates capability and expertise in handling maintenance tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
