Refrigeration Maintenance (3rd Shift) Forest, MS

About the role

This position is a starter position in the Refrigeration Department to perform cleaning/washing Ammonia refrigeration air units and HVAC /MAUs units on the roof, change filters, clean roof area, etc. and shadow Refrigeration Techs to be trained in the ammonia refrigeration system and will be considered for any future Refrigeration Tech positions open.

Responsibilities

• Create Maintenance Notifications, work orders, and confirm time into the SAP system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in areas hot/cold/wet.
• Requires pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs. and climbing ladders above 10 feet.
• Position requires walking and standing approximately 8.5 hours/day on concrete floor.
• The work schedule is 6 days a week, be off during the week, and must be able to work on weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• This position may require rotating shifts as needed and must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical and be recertified each year to maintain position.
• Must be clean shaven to get a proper fit while using APR/SCBA equipment.
• Requires being a member of the Plant Hazmat Team.
• Must be able to complete Refrigeration and General Maintenance computer-based training.
• Must have 1 year maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.

Qualifications

Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior. Applicants must also have completed at least 180 days since their last employment with Tyson.
