Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of refrigerated containers and transport refrigeration systems
- Demonstrate real-world diagnostics, safe work practices, and best-in-field standards
- Train students on systems including: Refrigerant cycle, refrigeration controls and basic electrical diagnostics, Diesel-powered generator systems
- Coach students through live tasks and skill development
- Track progress and provide clear, practical feedback
- Help keep labs and equipment safe, organized, and industry-ready
Requirements
- Professional experience with transport or commercial refrigeration
- Strong working knowledge of refrigeration systems and controls
- Comfort with basic electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to explain why a fix matters—not just how to do it
- Willingness to mentor and set a strong example
- No teaching background required, experience and credibility matter most
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (Monday-Friday)
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card
