About the role

Family Care Center is a fast‑growing behavioral health provider founded by U.S. Army Veterans in 2016, operating nearly 30 outpatient clinics across Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Tennessee and Texas. Position is remote.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls and facilitate a positive customer/patient experience.
• Accurately document patient or client comprehensive demographic and health information into the electronic health record system.
• Verify patient eligibility, insurance benefits, out‑of‑pocket costs and deductible requirements and obtain pre‑authorizations or referrals as required.
• Schedule appointments based on intake assessments and provider matrix.
• Engage in outreach activities, including responding to emails, follow‑up calls to patients, payors, military contacts and providers.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, internal and external customers.
• Meet established Patient Intake department metrics and quality goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of customer service or call center experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Health Administration or related field preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance or medical billing preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage high‑volume phone interactions.
• Detail‑oriented data entry and documentation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred).
• Bilingual Spanish/English communication (preferred).

Pay

Hourly compensation: $18.00 – $20.00, depending on experience.
