Responsibilities

• Interact with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to obtain maximum reimbursement.
• Obtain insurance eligibility and authorizations for Baptist Medical Center, Baptist Emergency Room, Baptist Specialty Offices, and Imaging.
• Average around 30-50 authorizations per day.
• Provide referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies.
• Schedule appointments, obtain authorizations, and collect patient responsibilities at the time of scheduling.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or higher)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to accurately complete verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools or direct contact with insurance carriers.
• Ensure timely and accurate patient registration that aligns with Baptist Health's core values.
