Referral Coordinator - Charlotte NC

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage and process incoming referral requests specific to the Charlotte, NC site
• Communicate with referring providers to obtain all necessary clinical information and clarify referral details
• Schedule patient appointments promptly, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize patient care delivery
• Maintain accurate referral logs and documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards
• Monitor referral statuses and provide timely updates to both patients and providers
• Address patient inquiries regarding referrals and additional dermatology services at the Arden location
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve referral workflows and processes
• Participate in department meetings and training as required

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical office environment, preferably in dermatology or related specialty
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with providers, patients, and internal teams to facilitate timely care
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
