Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage and process incoming referral requests specific to the Charlotte, NC site
- Communicate with referring providers to obtain all necessary clinical information and clarify referral details
- Schedule patient appointments promptly, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize patient care delivery
- Maintain accurate referral logs and documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards
- Monitor referral statuses and provide timely updates to both patients and providers
- Address patient inquiries regarding referrals and additional dermatology services at the Arden location
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve referral workflows and processes
- Participate in department meetings and training as required
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical office environment, preferably in dermatology or related specialty
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with providers, patients, and internal teams to facilitate timely care
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
