Reference Data Analyst

About the role

You will work in a trading-critical team to ensure we are ready to trade every day. You will work closely with traders and technologists to source, verify, correct, and clean critical reference datasets that power our global trading operation, operating in an impactful and time-critical role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate Instrument/ETF/Reference data and ongoing improvements to controls and reports.
• Translate trading requirements into solutions to be implemented with the technology team.
• Build prototypes and strategic solutions to adapt to the ever-changing markets.
• Provide validations of external data and ensure real-time solutions are implemented.
• Invest in your AI knowledge and building strategic solutions.
• Ensure all data is processed into our systems ahead of market open—this is both time-critical and high-impact.

Requirements

• Experience working with financial data, data feeds, and structures.
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Experience with Python, SQL, APIs, and Excel.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg & IHS MarkIT data.
• Practical knowledge of AI with a desire to build AI capabilities.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on operational accuracy and process control.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $195,000—$240,000 USD. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus and Optiver’s benefits package.
