Red Alert - Furniture Inspection

About the Role

This position is responsible for the daily inspection of Red Alert orders to ensure no damages and have repairs performed by shop staff when needed. You will review customer return authorization (R/A) notes to confirm the product meets the customers' requests, contact customers regarding any discrepancies, and verify the correct product is being sent by checking the SKU for each customer.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of all Red Alert orders.
• Verifying orders contain the correct products.
• Overseeing repairs of products and ensuring repairs meet quality standards.
• Reviewing Red Alert notes for customer concerns and contacting customers when needed.
• Observing the loading of Red Alert products to ensure safe handling onto trailers.
• Performing other duties as required, including locating third or more Red Alerts and stripping factory wrap if needed (e.g., moving/placing dressers, nightstands, and other furniture on floats).
• Using a Kevlar glove and box cutter to remove factory packaging.
• Wrapping inspected products in bubble wrap (for wood) or sofa/chair bags (for upholstery) after photos are completed.

Requirements

• Must possess an eye for detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive bending, lifting, stooping, climbing, and pushing.

Prior customer service or warehouse experience is not required.
