Incoming Inspection

About the role

The Incoming Inspection Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that components from suppliers meet Permobil’s stringent quality standards. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, teamwork, and a passion for making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Physically and visually inspect components to ensure they adhere to Permobil standards.
• Partner with engineering and product development teams to understand customer specifications.
• Communicate non-conformances to operators, supervisors, and managers.
• Use measurement tools such as calipers, scales, height gauges, etc., to perform inspections.
• Act as a liaison between quality and other departments.
• Flex into final inspection roles as needed.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance, and company policies.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality capability of Assembly operations.

Requirements

• Previous Quality experience desired.
• Working knowledge of assembly processes, Quality Inspection methods, and technical drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Familiarity with adaptive technology, mobility equipment, or medical device standards is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment with other technical groups as necessary.

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
