Qualifications
- No degree required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
- Necessary math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Handles all donations with care and respect.
- Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves products to designated areas.
- Ensures accuracy and absence of damage in inbound and outbound shipments. Reports quality variances.
- Pulls and prepares products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and product type are loaded and shipped.
- Moves product from staging and storage areas into trailers efficiently.
- Sorts donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, according to established guidelines.
- Uses machinery safely and appropriately to tip or compact designated products for sale or recycling.
- Maintains high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
- Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assists in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
- Keeps appropriate records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security.
- Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Risk Management, or employee hotline.
- Adheres to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
