Recycling Technician
About the role
Kdc/One is seeking a Recycling Technician in Groveport, Ohio. This position plays a crucial role in our sustainability initiatives, managing waste streams, supporting recycling programs, and ensuring our facility remains safe and environmentally responsible.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, dispose of, and help ship recyclable, hazardous, and non-hazardous materials
- Operate recycling and material-handling equipment, including forklifts, balers, compactors, drum haulers, and pallet jacks
- Inspect and sort materials by type, size, condition, and grade
- Maintain recycling and storage areas to meet GMP, OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards
- Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on recycling methods and regulations
- Report gaps or issues to the Environmental Technician
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and always safety-focused
- Jump in where needed—“other duties as assigned” is a team-player mindset!
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience (regulated/GMP environment preferred)
- 1+ year of forklift experience
- RCRA & Hazardous Waste Management Certification
- DOT Hazardous Materials Management Certificate
- Ability to adapt to rotating assignments and work with a sense of urgency
- Strong communication skills across diverse teams
- Understanding of GMPs & OSHA requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
