Recruitment Specialist

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR extensive, relevant work experience OR an appropriate combination of education and experience.
• 2 years experience in higher education or related field.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Ability to work evening and weekend assignments.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, sales/marketing or related field.
• Recruitment experience with student transitions in a college setting.
• An understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Public speaking experience.
• A graduate of LLCC or a community college.
• Enthusiasm for community colleges and LLCC in particular.
• High energy, customer service oriented, and able to work with diverse prospective student populations.
• Professional demeanor along with strong communication, presentation and public speaking abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in small and large group settings, as well as one-to-one with students, parents/guardians, visitors, faculty and other employees of the college.
• Ability to develop a high level of knowledge regarding LLCC academic and career/technical programs and college services.
• Ability to use state-of-the-art recruitment and text software.
• An outgoing team player who enjoys working with people and represents the college in an excellent manner.
