About the role
The College of Professional Programs, Family Resource and Training Center (FRTC) at Eastern Washington University is currently seeking a skilled and team-oriented applicant for the position of Recruitment & Retention Coordinator (RC).
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and implement active and passive recruitment, retention, and support events.
- Supervise regional Resource Peer Mentors.
- Develop, coordinate, partner recruitment, logistics, agenda topics, and final reports for community-based Recruitment Advisory Councils (RAC).
- Collaborate with regional child welfare leadership teams to develop and manage the Regional Recruitment Plan.
- Manage the Diligent Recruitment Plan, including data collection and program evaluation.
- Regular travel to fulfill job duties, including multi-day/overnight trips.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, Child Development, Education, or related field.
- At least two (2) years professional experience working within the child welfare system OR at least 2 years professional experience in program/project management, recruitment or related field, including supervision of staff.
- At least 2 years professional experience working within the child welfare system.
- Complete all additional mandatory training within 6 months of hire (Preservice, TOT, TBRI).
- Three years’ professional experience in social services.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care.
- Knowledge of the complex needs of children and families involved in foster care.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and/or supervisory skills.
- Strong computer skills including use of programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint.
- Knowledge of creative design/marketing.
- Experience with Database management.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive to the needs including universal access of our students, faculty staff and the public.
